Being cut doesn't make you faster. There is no true body type for distance runners. You can't change your genetics by not eating. You were born with your body type.

a kid, you are anorexic. you need professional help.

This is exactly my point, Solinsky could improve if he lost weight. It's that simple.
Mr Perfect: is it true that I can improve my stride length unlimited because there is infinity, but I cannot decrease my time to no limits because time cannot go faster than 0:00?? I gotta know!
I have no interest in coaching anyone. Why would I care about your stride length, I wouldn't care if you jumped in front of a moving bus. I just feel sorry for people looking for help, whether diet or workouts or whatever , because deep down they all know they don't have the natural ability to succeed. I'm "perfect" so don't try to copy me. I can't show you how to be an Olympian like me. If your trying to run 0:00 , maybe your just stupid and slow.
Alrighty. Thanks coach *wink* *wink*

Sigh.
Question for the all knowing Mr. Perfect:
What would the body fat be of a guy who is 6' 2", 260?
Or, how about 5' 9", 160?
Enlighten us all.
Instead of eating less, why not try to eat healthier? If you eat healthier you will be able to recover faster/train harder, and therefore become a better runner. If you simply eat less you might just end up hurt, sick, or weak.
6'2" would be exactly 18.7 %
5' 9" would be 11.4 %
If you want to be Enlightened , hear this.
Albert Einstein was not as bright as everyone thought. Anyone can come up with theories , universe this ...universe that. Big deal , Einstein could not prove any of this jibberish because they were just theories. Mr Perfect only deals in facts. The Fact that Mr Perfect has one major concern. Mr Perfect is TOO hansome. It detracts from my training because at times I get caught hours on end looking at myself in the mirror.
I agree with the sentiment but bioelectric impedience is WAY more than .5% off. Try 5% off. Even the best way, hydrostatic weighing, is not terribly accurate.
But bodt fat perentage doesn't mean everything. It helps but it is only part of the picture. Go train hard and you'll get lean or, possibly, you won't. Then blame oyur parents.

The first one was Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime as a bodybuilder. The second was me in my prime as a small college football wide receiver. I assure you I wasn't anywhere near 11%. Hydro had me at 7% and skin-fold had me at 4%. But I'm sure that was all wrong--right Mr. Perfect?
(and yes folks, I know it antagonizes us all when we get into stupid little tiffs on the board, but it's late and I'm bored)

186,000 miles per second. It's not just a good idea. It's the law.
Mr Perfect, I was wondering. How is it possible for a 3:59 miler to improve their time by 2 minutes? That sounds like nonsense talking. Could you please elaborate?
kid,
good god, what are you, in high school? and you're worried about "your weight"? just f***ing run, that'll take care of things. or more scientifically:
get in shape
then weigh yourself.
that's your ideal weight.
