Well maybe but you cant run one.
Every year for the past 3 years I have seen Western hater after Western hater...
Every year its the same thing, Western don't got it this year, and every year they prove those doubters wrong by staying in the Top 3.
This year will be no different...
People say they have a weak #5 but they fail to realize that every year for the past 9 years they always loose runners to graduation but every year a new guy that is a 2nd or 3rd year steps up and takes their place. This year will be no different.
They have several 15:00 guys that weren't in the Top 7 last year that will be ready to make the big jump into the Top 20.
Anyone know the results from races today? I know ASC and Western raced this weekend. Who else did?
i know ACU had there opening meet today but I dont have results.
ASC perfect scored Western so I think we have our national champs!
look at who ran for western and tell them that again...
they cant race if they aren't healthy
You mean Western has lost runners because the coaches pull their scholarship if they get hurt or don't run well one season. The coaches then give it out to the next freshman they are trying to recruit. Western does not keep very many runners for all 4 years. 15:00 guys will not have much of a chance against the kenyans everyone else if feiding. They are too fast. NM Highland\'s will shake up the RMAC this year and Mines will push Western guys even further back. The new coaching staff at Western has managed to lose most of its high quality talent over the last year either to injury or transfer.
NM Highlands had kenyans last year.
the regional results will look like this though:
1) Adams
2) Mines, although they lack a true front runner.
3) Minn Mankato
4) Western
5) Metro State
6) Who knows, UCCS Augustana and Minn Duluth all stand shots at making this last shot.
Now before you rip me to shreds on UCCS please take a look at their "Rust Buster" invite. Coach Misch has brought these guys along very well in the past year. They will soon be mixing it up with Mines and Metro. He may not quite have them there yet, but Coach Misch is a quality coach, expect to be surprised by UCCS this year.
lets consider here for a second that Western held out there Top 4 runners.
They traditionally hold out a few guys from this meet... Don't think it has to do with injuries.
The people that transferred or quit the Western team were 99% dirt bags there were never going to amount to anything because they weren't willing to put the work in.
Others, quit because they are sexist and can't take being coached by a women.
And there was that Kiwi guy who left after one year because there weren't enough hot guys in Gunnison for him to date.
That true freshman from Western really rocked it... 26:02 and only been at altitude for 3 weeks.
I think the regional rankings for the RMAC are almost right. It will look like this:
1. ASC
2. Minn. Mankato
3. Western
4. Mines
5. Metro
6. NM highlands
Those aren't RMAC rankings, they are regional rankings. Minn Mankato is not in the RMAC.

Abilene has a HUGE gap! (1:41 from 1 to 5 in a 4-miler_
Good team for DII?
Yeah.
National champs?
Hardly.
Prediction?
One injured Kenyan.
Maybe Harding can put the African jigsaw puzzle together. Or Adams.
I am definately in the club that thinks WSC has lost a bit with Vandenbusche retiting. As far as the soap opera issues a cross country team is no different than a business. If you aren't performing then the next guy will thats just life in general. WSC has more issues than other schools, but one thing is certain. They won't finish outside the top 3. I just don't see schools other than ASC beating them on a hilly course. A course like Slippery Rock is tailor made for WSC and from a climate perspective there is no better place to train for that course than Gunnison. Every place to run has a major hill at some point or another. Just shy of a major coaching disaster (which knowing the staff could happen) or a series of injuries (Donian and Clark are injury prone and will have at least one injury this fall) the men's team will be right in there.
My predictions for November
ASC
WSC
Chico
ACU
GVSU

Hey igno, did you check the results that closely?
Gasore didn't compete.
He was a top ten @ CC Nats last year.
1st meet of the year.
Let's see what teams do when it counts in November.
My $ is on ACU.
Also, those dismissing NM Highlands, have you noticed another ACU defector to their squad?
Highlands will place higher than you rank.
I checked their roster and it wasn't updated. Who is it? And have they raced yet?

Don't know. I'm not the NMH SID. Check their website for CC schedule.
Found the results. Kazingo in now on NMH. Looks like they have 3 solid up front.
