Dix will run 9.7X's in his career, if he gets a good winter and improved his drive phase hes there.

If he gets a +1 wind this year hes got a 9.85 then and maybe under. Hopefully at the WAF that will happen, while Bolt breaks the WR and Asafa dips under 9.7

Dix's top end speed is exceeded only by Bolt; he is super fast once he gets rolling. People look at his size and assume he would be more explosive, but Dix has always been a 100/200 guy and has never run great 55 or 60m times. He has a halfway decent start, but his drive phase is slow. Forget about the difference in body build, from the waist down Dix and Carl Lewis are very simular runners; the balls of their feet hits the ground like a tiger paw.

Remember, he is about the same age as Bolt and has run 6 or 7 sub-10 100m, he ran a 19.69 200m last year, which at the time was the 3rd fastest 200 ever. I can see Dix topping out in the 100m in the 9.85 range, but I think he has unlimited potential in the 200m. He won the NCAA 200m 3 times in a row; there are not too many guys who won an NCAA individual event 3 years in a row. I think he is also a 25 foot long jumper. Quite a resume for a 22 year old.

why do i keep reading how bolt let off the gas and jogged it in since the olympics. he's running good times but not good for him obviously cuz he's shutting it down every race. intentionally not doing your best (especially since he's in the best shape of his life, not to mention the best shape of any sprinter ever) is just plain dumb. run all out already and stop doing just enough to win and get your paycheck already.

Asafa needs to take some lessons from his mate usain and learn to relax in big championships, he should have two olympic medals by now including 1 gold and a few world champs medals.

How good are the runners from the caribbean, especially jamaica. You Americans must be getting shitted that a country with such a small population shits on you, especially when all your runners are doped up.
