Shorter in his prime.
Primer in his shorts.
Henry Carr, maybe?
Sorry, Ryun was fun to watch but would have matched few people's definition of "best form."
Sebastian Coe
- The American Part.....
Marty Liquori and Mary Slaney.
Abdi all the way! Not only is he more American, his FORM is more American and just better all around than any other American's. Well, except for maybe Lagat's. Toss up there.

Poor posture! Hunches over. Heel striker. Far from what I'd call good form.
Bill Rodgers didn't have the 'best' form, but to quote Kenny Moore of his form and Shorter's, Rodger's was the more beautiful.
Speaking of which, Kenny Moore had good form, too.
LaJerald Betters of Baylor. Watching him in that 4x400 at Outdoor Nationals was a beautiful sight.
CARL
Bernard Lagat
jeremy wariner and flojo
Hall
Michael Johnson.
Ritz and Meb overstride and heel-strike. No thanks.
Ryun would have it, if it weren't for his head bob.
Lagat's and Hall's form are picture perfect.
Steve Prefontaine and Dathan Ritzenhein.
Smooth Power
Lagat, Fernandez, Hall are fluid and efficient
Usain Bolt is the definition of smooth power
