Did you hear these two songs on Art Bell's bumper music for Coast to Coast A.M.?
That's the only place I can recall hearing Ride My See-Saw in over a decade. And Art's fond of Cusco as well (especially Inca Dance).
Nope. Already had them in cue. Haven't heard Art Bell in years.
Take out one of the Olympic fanfares and add Walkin' on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.

How about NOT playing any music. Did it ever occur to you that sometimes people would like to talk to each other without having to shout over loud music? Or perhaps they would like silence when getting their thoughts together before the race.
Use your Public Address system for making announcements only. That will assure that any announcements will be heard.
I agree with Birdlegs about not playing any music. After last year's overheated Chicago Marathon, they had some stupid DJ playing music really, really loud and you couldn't hear anything. People couldn't even hear their cell phones when trying to contact and locate runners who had dropped out and/or collapsed somewhere. I actually thought it was a safety issue because you couldn't hear a thing except for the music. Why didn't we move, you may ask? Because our agreed upon meeting place happened to be right by the stupid DJ, who we didn't know would be set up right there.
For the runners who had finished, they just wanted to recap their race to their friends and family, and they couldn't because of the blaring music.
You don't need music before or after the race.
Good point about not playing any music!! If runners can be DQ'd for wearing earphones because of safety issues, then why should you be able to blast music over the PA system?
I hate noise polution wrote:

Kinda like the ambulance going to help a fallen runner that could not be heard at the San Diego RNR due to the band noise?
Yeah, i-pods are the real problem.

A second for "Where the Streets Have No Name"
Might be cliche, but has Eminem's "Lose Yourself" been mentioned>?

"Radar Love" isn't bad!
How about "Fox on the Run" by Sweet(?)... that's a good intro for a 70's tune.
