I benched 255 lbs. (real bench) at the toughman contest following the 10 mile race in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Around the same time I ran a 3:04 in the only marathon I ever ran. Theoretically I should've been able to run a 2:50 based on all the predictors and calculators and such, but I didn't train...just showed up and ran for about 23 miles and crawled the last 3.
OK, so finally something I was good at. Ran 2:27, a ton of times in the 2:30's and benched 235. Couldn't come close on either the bench or running 26 miles now.
I can do my body weight 26x (140lbs at the arnold pump and run) and I guess I could run at least a 2:55 in the marathon so maybe one day I'll be in this 'elite' group.
Haha, letsrun cracks me up. We have a bunch of athletes here, benching that much and still running that fast! Man, those other sports are sure glad we didn't try them, because we would dominate
