Ok, I admit I misspoke one word. Should have said how crazy will it be in Chicago on Sunday. That better everyone? The course runs along Addison for a stretch, & you can't tell me the ball game won't have an effect on the traffic.

I was in chi-town a couple years ago to see a show at the House of Blues. Everyone I met called it Chi-town.

I am in chicago right now on business and the weather is a little warm.. but it could be worse i guess.

Anyway, i bumped into daniel njenka.. the guy who finished second last year... he was outside in his blue warmups at 9 oclock.. waiting for someone to give him a ride to go running... in the evening.

I spoke to him and he was at first stand off ish... but then he realized that i knew who he was ... he loosend up. He had absolutely nothing to say.. but it was still cool to meet the guy.

I pumped him up for the win.

looks like it will be the east end of a front so the weather is up in the air. it will not be that cool, but 60s ain't all bad. right?

Why worry about the weather? There's absolutely nothing you can do about it, except withdraw from the race.

On race day you will adjust your clothing, pacing and fluids intake according to the "current" weather conditions.

60s with humidity. NWS calling for a low Saturday night of 67, so potentially warm right from the start. GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!

i lived 4 years in chicago (rogers park). i thought people would call it chi-town, but i never heard that once. most people who claim to be from chicago are from the burbs. but the most important thing here is to go to mister j's burgers and dawg's, a block north of chicago avenue, on state street, and you must order the combo italian beef sandwich with hot peppers and italian sausage, with a chocolate milkshake.

100% correct. When you ask them about it they defend their claim by saying "it's close".

These are the same people that go "to the city" for a big night out and drive around in circles in their SUV blowing their horn looking for free parking.

The Cubs won't affect the marathon, but the marathon will definitely affect the frat boys and the tube tops...oops, meant to say Cub 'fans'...

Let's see. There is no one with a last name of Sianis, nor Bartman, registered for the marathon. At this time I can't think of an angle that would involve the marathon getting blamed for yet another Cub failure. But, one may yet surface.

I did read that Dick Cheney is a Cub fan. Yeah, that should be sufficient for the Cubs to be gone in three.

Those from most of the burbs "who claim chicago" can find a beef with milk shakE just as good. Now going to Manny's and gettng a corn beef that might be a different story.

That's because, like you, they were all tourists, or on a day-trip from Naperville. Did you stop at the Rock N' Roll McDonald's and Navy Pier too? A lot of "real" Chicagoans hang out there too.
