You do not have a clue of the true definition of a "road whore" or you would have not put Mark Curp and road whore in the same sentence. Explain how running against the top road racers in the world on a weekly basis makes someone a road whore? Explain how winning road racer of the year makes one a road whore? Explain how running Chicago marathon multiple times against the best competion instead of going to Twin Cities to pick up an easier and larger pay check is being a road whore. How is turning down the Chicago marathon to be a rabbit for the marathon is a road whore?

I didn't read the whole thread, so maybe someone else pointed this out, but in actuality is a road whore who pieces together a schedule of B-caliber races with rather small prize structures but does one every week, usually involving a good bit of regional travel. Eddy H is a bit too good and his paydays a bit too large to be considered a road whore. The Kenyan groups of Chapel Hill, NC and West Chester, PA (well, the PA is on the cusp of being more than road whores) are good examples of road whores - picking up $500 here and there every weekend instead of building up for a bigger score and faster times. True road whoring is more of a regional phenomenon where good regional caliber guys hit all the races in a multi-state area that don't have quite enough money to attract the bigger names.

The biggest omission, may he rest in peace, was Paul Cummings...this guy ran SOOooo many road races for cash...ran amazingly fast for a very long time and had range from mile to marathon...a very unassuming guy.
