Sihine vs Kipchoge, the return of the "heirs to throne" ?? (both seemed destined to be possible Bekele/Geb type runners early on, but have hit some speedbumps here and there.)
There recent 10k suggests they may be back to their form of a few years ago.
And what about Wajinuru (sp) ? does the 1/2 marathoner and great 10k runner have 5k speed too? We will see!

cragg fell off like macauley culkin. actually, he may have DNF'd.
Wanjiru needs to stick to the roads or work on more speed cuz 13:36 is good for the NCAA and thats about it.

that was only the 800m i think, camera man drifted off, 5k was good, even got tim hutchings commentating for last 3 laps. set up for a very fast time at at 3k - 7.46 for main pack, then 2.45 4th k slowed as per usual. good win for shihine though, 13.01 is world lead.

This has really been a slow year for 5000m races so far. It is mid-July and nobody has broken 13 minutes. Last year, 10 guys broke 13 in the Rome Golden Gala race alone. I suppose everyone is peaking late for the WC. But even in 2005, the last championship year, 7 guys broke 13 in Rome.

yeah, adil kaouch- he's also the 2005 1500m world silver medalist.
Kaouch and Boukensa may not have beaten Webb's time but they were impressive besides.
I bet El G is giving him lots of pointers on how to win races.
