Alberto Salazar coaches a catholic high school team in Portland. He turned out an 8:58 sophmore two-miler. He also coaches some of the top marathoners in the country.

I know that Dave Wottle is the athletic director for Rhodes College
Dave Wottle has held the position of ADMISSIONS directer at a few schools including Rhodes College, but I don't think he has ever been AD, unless this is a new undertaking.

Hey, who's the coach at Wheaton in Chicago? I am pretty sure he was an elite runner who grew up in Illinois.
Wottle used to coach at Bethany College in West Va, then got into nonathletic administration. He's been dean of admissions at Rhodes for at least 15 years.

Isn't Norm Olgilvie at still at Duke (not UNC)?
What were Norm's credentials as a runner? This is not a cut, I simply am unaware. He must have been a long distance guy to have the stamina he has shown. He went to Duke long ago as Al Beuhler was talking retirement, and now a decade later he's still hanging on isn't he?
