He is a God on Dyestat (Wizard is his sn). Funny as hell and fast as hell.
I'll be cheering for him the rest of his career.

Okay so it is clearly time for a reality check. Nicodemus could run four events at NCAA's and still would have to be the favorite in the 5k. In the mile prelim he wont have to run any faster than 4:11 to get in, and that is merely a warm up for a guy that has run under 13:40. He wont really be tested until the mile, where he will be the most vulnerable there is just too many weapons in that race (Bodor, Martinez will have qualified by then, and the other ASC guy) he will be tested in the 5k but I think he is stronger than the field and will be able to walk with it unless it is a kickers race but even then there are only a handfull that can outkick him. I am picking Bodor to win the mile, and Nicodemus to win the 5k. ASC will win the DMR and Lara will dominate the 800(the kid is too talented and wont be stopped)
P.S. Macias, Matt Lev, Rodriguez, and Nagelkerke are all American, and all have went sub 14 since Ebs graduated.
Macias went to school in the U.S. but doesn't have citizenship I believe.

Martinez has been running, just unattached....running real fast though
Adams is letting all their guys loose this weekend at University of Nebraska. Martinez is running the Mile. Mines will also be there. Look for some fast times coming out from the Devaney Center on friday
If you look at it in the past Nico has been running in the 13:40's when he ran at the Tyson invite. I was at Tyson and watched him run and he does not look like the runner of the past. I say that some of the guys that will not be tripling will have a fairly decent shot at beating Nicodemus. He is not as dominate as he used to be. I think he has gotten to used to killing everyone and his training has suffered because of this. Look at how far behind he is this year from the years past
This is a good prediction, but you never know how things goes until the last minute. In order for bodor to win{i have seen him run}, he needs to stay among the front guys. Nicodemus, might have a chance of trippling in 5k.
kim looked really good in his 3k in seattle, he had to sit around ALL DAY in a muggy hot room waiting for his race, and then ran an 802 3k winning the second section ahead of vaughn. (why vaughn was in the second section no one knows) He is the only one with a chance at nico but i think its a good one.

Does he not have any eligibility left? I saw that he ran a 4:01 but he was unattached.

Agreed that Zemba wins whatever she enters. She will anchor a DMR and run the 5k. Missed training time = no mile
So I take it Art is going out to set the pace for a fast mile this weekend. Sweet move if thats the case, if not then it will still make for a good race anyhow. Should get Mcdarius and Martinez on the list. Look out for McDarius at NCAA's man the kid hasnt really gotten much recognition and will finish top 5 depending on the way the race goes he may even be a sleeper. I am sticking with my boy Bodor, but the race will be an interesting race. I think that this will be the race of the championships (apart from the 800 where I think Lara will rock everyone). It is going to come down to who has the best kick. There are a few guys that have lethal kicks that can kick off any pace (Martinez Bodor Nicodemus) Dont sleep on Bodor, the guy has run under his potential, but he always shows up when it matters most. Just look at how far back he came from to win when he won.
800- Lara (only people that can touch him are his teamates)
Mile- Oliver (has the best kick in my opinion)
5k- nicodemus (has run 14:01 no one has come close to him)
DMR- ASC( this has to be the best middle distance group in the nation. They can put together a B team to contend for the title)
Suprise finishes:
Scott Dahlberg (All American mile)
Larry McDarius (top 3 in mile, 2nd 800)
Jake Raines (all American 5k)
"5k- nicodemus (has run 14:01 no one has come close to him)"
Correction, no one has come close to him from schools that sponser indoor track. bauhs is definitely close, if not faster now. but chico is either poor or title 9 or something.
Why would Aucencio compete unattached until this Friday?
You think he payed his entry fee and travel arrangements to Seattle, WA on 2/10/07?
Anyone care to shed some light?
Bahus battled Nico stride for stride at XC nats, even controlling the pace for some of the race until the last 1k or so when Nico pulled away, so he is close. Now he has run a faster indoor 5k. It's too bad that they will not be in race together until outdoor nats (or maybe Stanford?).
It could turn into a nice little rivalry
I don't see how anyone can say Nico is still clearly the best. In years past there was no one within 10 seconds of him in the 5k. Now this year with him running in a stacked 5k race where he did not place very well so he obviously had compeition he has a few guys near him and one guy ahead of him.

nicodemus was just screwing with everyone at nationals. did you see what he ran at chile pepper? bauhs only was up there because nicodemus allowed it.

I tend to agree that Nicodemus was head and shoulders above anyone else in the field at XC nats.
Well, Nicodemus is taller than Bahus, but not head and shoulders above him, maybe head, but not head and shoulders.
D2 is really starting to pick up the intensity. The depth in D2 is really starting to increase as well. Both indoors and outdoors this year should be exciting. As far as indoors goes... Nico rarely seems to train in the off season, if you guys have been paying attention... the guy has so much talent though, he'll be in 13:40 shape by nationals. I think he'll win the 5k again (will this be 3 or 4 in a row). I dont think he could win the mile even if he ran it fresh... there is just too much talent this year with Marteniez, Bodor (the guy can run championship races, his double 2 years ago indoors in the 5k and mile showed that), Mcdaris, Braun, Gill, and whoever else. I think it's just too deep. DMR should be fun to watch with ACU, Harding(should post a fast time soon, they were up there last year with ACU and adams but kosgei faded the last few laps, if he's running the way he did in cross and outdoor they'll have a strong showing), Adams (should take it... they are just loaded with lara, marteniez, braun, streeter.. marteniez took it to Nico last year in the anchor), Mines should be up there again(although i saw they didnt have hamilton on it, what's up with him?), stonehill, lewis and S.D have all posted fast times as well. 800 should go to lara again, although it'll be interesting to see if he still has the closing speed, he seems to be concentrating on the mile this year as well. Congrats to Scotty B.. that's a hell of a run for this early in the year, sub 13:40 and 28:20 outdoors?
