." With anyonymity may come frankness, but there's little credibility that can be attached to an opinion that someone won't attach his or her own name to. Even so, anonymity may be a smart move, b/c a lot of guys reading somethign like that written about them might get a little steamed. And Anthony is not a puny little runt like me. I hope you're Adam-Dailey sized. I have run with Anthony and discussed training with him at length (we did some pretty f---ing log runs). He freqnetly trains hard but he doesn't overtrain, IMO, and he guards against overtraining a lot more than I ever have. He's just injury-prone. Like Mickey Mantle, Joe Namath, Terrell Davis. And he got hurt before an in the International-League race he was trainign for, the Jefferson Hospital Phila. Dist Run. event. Happy now?Now go back to calling Goucher a dumba-- for getting hurt all the time as well. Or Ritzenhein or Bob Kempainen.

This is a fair point and worth looking into due to his past experience with injuries. However, having run with him, I don't believe it to be true. He definitely trains hard. But he also trains smart.

This point is unreasonable. He is a former All American who competed in the toughest XC conference in the country (Big East). He ran against the best and beat most of them. To say he ran away from scrubs and never beat anyone good is incorrect. Come the fall of 2003, you'll see how good this guy can be.

i was not refering to his great xc races while at seton hall in the big east, as being run "against scrubs". look at what i said, he runs well in jersey league races against "relative scrubs". He doesnt seem to race well when there is someone with him after 2-3 miles, or when someone (like a kenyan) takes it out, even if the pace isnt that fast. Its been 4 years since he was a xc AA, who has he beat since that ncaa meet ??

for all those that care on this post. i get hurt because i do train pretty hard, maybe i don't do the killer track workouts like some others out there, but i do other things. i do train on that thin line between overtraining, but i think what i do need is a heart rate monitor. that will probably be something i will look into when i resume intence training again. and the thought of using a shoe with more padding, maybe a padded insert. all these things will allow me to stay injury free for once and prevent burnout.

the other thing is that i don't like the posts about me running in scrubby NJ races. i did those to see where i am and so i PR'd, who cares. i have done some things since starting back up running back in may 2001 after over a year of nothing. i was getting ready to roll in october and than november, but now i am hurt and i will LEARN MY LESSON from this. look at wejo, he has not raced since nyc, he took time off to heal up and took his time getting back. ok, so i am NOT a 28:10 10k runner, but i will run to my potential, what ever that may be!?!?!?!?
