Also after I made it to nationals I stopped running for 8 months then was on the DMR team that was third in the nation. Right now I don't even go to Mount and obviously did not run cross.

As far as the All-Ohio meet goes, that is not a direct comparison of how all the schools in Ohio match up. It is one meet out of the year. And I agree the running should do the talking. You can do that in track (times) but not cross, besides the All-Ohio meet.
how is ysu disgruntled to runners. Ever hear of mill creek park?
mill creek park....excellent
brian gorby....sub-par and sketchy at best
I don't know your ability level, but OSU does not encourage average walk-ons.
Didn't See run something like 4:04 in high school anyways??
As for Buzek, its hard to say I didn't expect more out of him college. Sure 9:25 may not be considered stellar by the gurus, but 14:40 isn't exactly world-beating.
Buzek was untouchable in d2 years back...seems to have had a dissapointing college career thus far.

Dayton: Similar to YSU they ruin some very talented high school kids. I can't believe the Lemon brothers are going there. Dayton did have a solid #1 guy at the start of the season. He did well at All-Ohio too, but then got progressively worst. No track program.
Disagree here. Anderson finished 2nd at All-Ohio behind BG's #1 guy.. Next meet was BG's Falcon invite, finished 2nd again behind BG's #1 guy. Next meet finished 3rd at A-10 Champs behind an All-American (Bettered his place by 6 spots from last year). Time was slow, but conditions weren't good and course is tough. Next meet, Regionals. Finished 30th. Bettering his spot by 35 places from previous year. Maybe could have been few spots higher, but I don't see how he got progressively worse from All-Ohio. What he has shown is improvement from a very good freshman year to an even better sophomore year.
Was this top guy from Dayton an ohio hs grad?
Don't go to Akron unless you want to pole vault. The head track coach is a self proclaimed PV guru. He won't put any effort into the distance programs, especially the mens. The women have done well over the past few years in a weak conference on that side. As far as the distance coach really being a sprint coach its true, he is learning about coaching distance guys the hard way. I imagine he would rather be coaching sprints. Indoor facility is legit though, and I don't know of a better facility in the region. If you want to improve to the best of your ability in the longer events. STAY AWAY FROM AKRON!!!!!
KBatista,
Tiffin University isn’t really THAT bad are they?
Three straight outdoor conference titles.
They finished 6th (tied w/Ashland) at the NCAA II Regionals 2004
They finished 9th (one place behind Ashland-100pts)NCAA II Regionals 2006

Are you looking at going to YSU?
OSU has dominated all-ohio whenever they run close to their A team. Also, they beat the heck out of all the ohio schools at Regionals later. give a guy like matt buzek credit for seeing what he can do at that level and undoubtedly going for less scholarship money. in all reality, the guy ran 4:25/9:24 and is going up against a ton of Footlocker guys and 8:55 2-milers.
No I want a successful collegiate career.
Go to Otterbein if you want to vault. What their vaulters have done over the past few years is impressive
I wouldn't say that Tiffin is that bad, just that they aren't that great either.
Winning their conference in track isn't much of an accomplishment, seeing that Malone doesn't field much of a TRACK TEAM, mostly just distance runners. The conference is extremely weak.
They did tie with Ashland in 2004, one of Ashland's weakest years in at least 10 years. It was certainly Tiffin's best year ever.
As for this past year, they were 100 points back and nowhere in a jocksniff of Ashland at regionals, other than being the next place, way back.
They have done some good things, so don't get me wrong. Just not one of the better places to go in Ohio.
I meant, weakest year in 20 years, according to my sources with that team.
Except for this year then...when they were 8th?
If I am able to run 925 or so this spring. Since most of the colleges have most of their recruits already signed or commited, should I just walk on somewhere and earn a scholarship, or should i go to a school that is not as good, that already offered me some money? I know that money isnt everything, but it is a major part.
If you run 9:25 this spring...
Malone, Findlay, Tiffin, Ashland, Shawnee (XC), BGSU (XC), Toledo (XC), Wright State (XC), Walsh, etc...will all find you money (if that's what you are looking for).
