Heard about this thread and wanted to add my two cents. It makes no difference how many full rides the NAIA allows for track and cross country. What matters is how much each institution is willing to spend on athletes and how much they discount their tuition room and board. Some NAIA schools give all that they can and thats why they can recruit the most talented runners and keep them. Some NAIA schools put a cap on what they allow their athletic department to give student athletes. Here at William Woods, there is not one single athlete at our school that pays less that 6,500 to go to school and their are very few of these. Most pay around 8,000-9,000 to go to school like the previous poster stated. I am not sure who that was, but they seem to have some inside knowledge somehow. In our program we look for a front runner or two each year and try and surround them with hard working blue collar type of kids. Turning 20-21:30 girls into 18:00-19:30 women and 16:45-17:30 boys into 15:00-15:45 men is what its all about at WWU.
