What I don't like is the inequality of it.
I don't agree with Iran's regime and think some of their laws are appalling. I would not like to live there, especially as a woman. Some of it is shocking.
But US/Israel went in with strikes and murdered the leader of Iran. If that was to happen the other way around, it would be WW3. It wouldn't be acceptable, it would shock everyone. But Iran's leader being murdered is just accepted as... OK? It's not the way to go about things, just going around killing leaders of countries, and it feels there was barely any reaction to it.
Say Denmark had a falling out with France and murdered Macron. I mean... there would be a huge reaction to that. You can't just kill the leader of a country because you want to change their regime or don't like their policies. Change should come in other ways. Anyway, he's been replaced by someone similar so I don't even know what it was meant to achieve. Just my thoughts on it.
As far as PF goes, you need to be patient as it takes ages to heal but there's some good advice in this thread. If you're serious about joining the military I'd look very carefully at which role you want. Obviously some never see combat and there are lots of specialities ranging from chefs to IT, a massive range. I'm sure there are good jobs in the military, but it's a complicated issue. Personally I'd look at the air force or coastguard (in the USA). I'm not sure if PF would be disqualifying - you'd have to look that up. The medical requirements are stringent, for example with MH.
I would be very careful if you think you're going to be deployed.
My ex went out to Basra (this is a very long time ago) with a team of 12 and half of them didn't come back. They hit an IED one day and my ex witnessed friends being blown to pieces. My ex can't sleep any more. That's the reality of what you could see and worse. You have to go into it with your eyes open and understand just what you're signing up for, what you may have to do, and what you may see. War is a terrible, horrific thing. I'm just sad that there are so many conflicts across the world right now. I wish it wasn't so.
