I'm no expert here, but isn't gout a painful condition that interferes with running performance? This guy's name is "Gout Gout" which is at least twice as bad...
The boy runs a 19.67 200M and so many people hate on him. And before the race there were some on-line that said the US HSers would smoke him. What's up with the hate? Let it go.
I’m a huge Gout supporter but there is the possibility of “Unicorn” wind conditions as follows:
Swirling/Variable Winds: Wind not consistent across a stadium. A 200m runner may experience a strong headwind on the curve and a tailwind on the straight, but the gauge only records one average, often resulting in inaccurate results. Measurement Duration: The gauge records wind for 10 seconds starting when the leading athlete enters the straightaway, so the first half of the race is missed for wind readings. Placement: The sensor is located 50m from the finish line, usually on the side of the track (straightaway) - this seems really odd for the 200m?
I think at the end of the day though 1000s of 200m races have been contested over the decades and some other top performances may or may not have had the benefit of rare wind conditions that did or did not give the athletes an advantage so definitely not right to direct any hate towards Gout Gout. He’s an exceptional talent and I’m highly confident the WR(s) will be his for the taking within the next 2-4 years.

As earlier poster said, the key thing was the small gap to the rest of the field.. and Murphy in 2nd in particular who he just about beat. Be absolutely crazy not to question. Let's see how the season goes.
Gault should explain, but I did not see anything malicious in questioning super fast times for the field. It was a remarkable race for a comparatively low key meet. Timing errors do happen.
However, going by that logic, he should question the London Olympics 800m final (the greatest race I have ever seen) as well.
JG, care to chime in?
>”it was a remarkable race for a comparatively low key meet”
>proceeds to compare it to THE OLYMPICS
Legit impressive how immediately you contradicted yourself lol

They think all Australians should look like Mottram, complexion wise. They're afraid of a future where nationality and race are not correlated.
