Thorough testing in Kenya while America that has the most athletes in the world does not test enough according to WADA... College programme is basically a crime scene. USADA acts like a hegemon, looking down on WADA.
Kenya is anything but thorough - or honest. Kenya and Ethiopia make the old East Germans look like Angels.
Festus Lagat is mentioned in the Nation article for whereabouts failure, kind of buried
Ok, looks like I'm not crazy then. I started a thread just now, as I was shocked that no one had mentioned this. It was enough to make me question my own source.
According to World Athletics, she has only run three races since 2014 - two marathons in 2022 (2:30 and 2:39) and a HM in 2024 (1:14:30). It's not like she is making a living by racing anymore and sees drug use as a means of more victories/more money.
I don’t see why we don’t do lifetime bans as the norm with the shorter being exceptions to allow for example in cases where it’s actually most likely stupidity like Allie O and the acne meds.
Also if someone is ever found to be using drugs ALL their wins and records in the last 5 years should be scratched regardless of when they were caught.

Agreed. A hard line should be taken.
+1
Just look at Jeptoo's record (and cash "earned"). That nation article even says that she won Boston + Chicago in 2014, although she did get DQ'd for those "wins". Or Kiprop or Houlihan or Kandie or Katir etc., there are lots of examples of dopers who got to keep their wins/medals/records.
The article sited "metabolic modulators", but I dont know what that means exactly. Would somebody mind explaining and give an example or two of what they were likely taking?
bad luck or bad look for the flagstaff based team?
Maybe bad look for Iowa State too. They had the doping scandal this fall and Fetus Lagat ran for Iowa State through 2021. Maybe there's been some sus things going on for several years that are just now coming to light in 2025/2026
The US and European countries have a long, long history of slavery and oppression against native and African populations, which is the obvious reason for the obsession with drugs and drug bans.
The proported use of drugs to improve performances is simply a false flag attempting to maintain that previous world history - as it continues to fade away and the rest of the world continues to improve and rise up above it.

You are really reaching on this one. You guys and your “muh Africans” routine are really something.

Why is she still even being tested with those times lol? Cynically, is it because they have to hand out suspensions to show they are testing and better someone past their prime who’s already been busted than a current star?

They change the path of the body's energy production. Drug cheats use them mostly to decrease their fat, and enhance oxygen delivery. Examples are meldonium (Aregawi, Phiri, Sharapova), TMZ (Cherono, Valieva) and GW1516 (Amos, Asinga).
