Cooper is definitely the main contender. But his first lap has to get faster. There will be significant jostling between the 165m and 200m for positioning and Cooper would come in third or fourth with just under 25s. That could become a problem later, as there aren't many opportunities to take over - the track is tight.
The race Crestan ran today is exactly what will take to win worlds. Fast first 200m, but holding on well to the pace in the last 100m for a time of ca 1:43.50.
