The existing facility record was initially broken by the top 2 in the B Race, then the new record was broken again 40 minutes later by the top 9 in the A Race.
Across all events, dozens upon dozens of racers ran faster than the existing facility records that existed at the beginning of the day.
Some races Nico seems to have the best kick in the world.
He’s not a middle distance runner and if Kerr or Hocker were in this race, he would have been outkicked. To have a chance at beating those guys, the winning time wouod need to be in the low 7:20s.

you mean Cheptegei. Kiplimo have showed the kick to win a global title - I would actually favour Young in a tactical race over him. But both are probably done with the track
No wonder he made Gary Martin look like a 10k runner at the Millrose Mile. Dude outkicked Nuguse and Strand sheesh, I remember when Strand’s kick looked unstoppable.
Strand's kick it awesome when it goes well but he's very bad at timing it incorrectly - see NCAA DMR, Penn Relays 4 x mile, NCAA 1500 final, etc.
His ceiling is still very high but getting a Strand scalp isn't too hard given how often this happens.

maybe. Go do the math and you may take bake this post. Nico ran a faster lap in a faster pace race than Hocker and Kerr at Millrose. Obviously it was a slightly longer race but Hocker and Kerr closed in 27sh for their last lap.
Just watched the race. I’m guessing most of you, like me, didn’t pay to watch live. 28.5-26 last 2 laps but that doesn’t do it justice. Had to battle around traffic and really fight for it. Must watch if you’re something that cares enough about track to be on this site
