Jakob is sitting on a stationary bike with a boot on, in his posts. I don't think he's getting real training in. Just getting the blood flowing and muscles moving a bit. probably didn't break a sweat.
It's probably certain that Jakob has a team that does all of this for him. He's been followed by cameras and teams asking for training/personal updates since he was like 10. He managed just fine. And while I agree with you, I'm just not sure it's always 'him' doing the actual social media work.
for those interested, the prognosis generally is quite good with this type of procedure, of course you need to be specific about the injury, that said, why not use chatgpt gemini etc. and punch in what is said about jacob's injury and learn?
versus, mindless speculation, there you go grasshoppers
Typical Jakob. Rushing his recovery and pushing too hard. He never learns his lesson.
Typical what?
I'm assuming your in close contact with his doctor and his recovery schedule?
Stay in your lane and STFU!
I assume the doc ok'd but a buddy of mine saw hii\m cross training and texted, "This is classic stupidity. Ho iw nobody advising him. Sure he can turn the crank on a bike because his ankle is immobilized - but his body needs all the energy diverted and channeled into his Achilles to heal it. All of it."
Any medical professionals on here? Any evidence to back up what my buddy - who most definitely isn't a doctor - was saying.
Not sure why people are assuming he’s gone through all this, only to go Rogue immediately before even leaving California. Y’all think he’s doing this without discussing with a doctor?
We have a single still frame photo and yall act like you know the situation. Come on people.

I'm not a doctor but that's not how healing works. There are cellular processes taking place that are not necessarily high metabolic demand. Managing inflammation and improving circulation both contribute to healing as long as there is no additional stress placed on the injured area.
Acute Inflammatory Phase (Weeks 0–2): Inflammatory cells remove damaged tissue and initiate healing, causing swelling, bruising, and pain. Proliferative Phase (Weeks 2–4): Fibroblasts produce Type I collagen, increasing the structural strength of the tendon. Remodeling Phase (Months 2–18+): The tendon matures, aligning fibers and improving elasticity to withstand functional loads.

ya he's just doing some light spinning. almost any surgery you come out of, the doctor want you moving as soon as possible.

How do you not know your buddy has no idea what he’s taking about? Its well known movement will increase blood flow and help healing. If he’s going too hard it’ll be counterproductive but not because it’s taking away from healing. I’m not a doctor but I guess if he was doing hard sessions it could divert energy to other areas but doubt he’s doing anything very hard

You can say a lot of things about Jakob, but I highly doubt he'd be dumb enough to fly all the way from Norway to California to get surgery to repair his achilles (sheath), the same achilles has been bothering him for months and prevented him from doing the thing he loves the most, only to botch the recovery by ignoring doctor's orders and immediately jump into cross training. I just don't see that happening.
You make my point exactly So as a recluse he also needs to give up on the 2026 luxury sports car..although a good Norwegian should in any case drive a 1985 scandomobile to reduce energy/metal/rare earth consumption.
When Jakob's done, which it looks like he is, Norway is done at running. None of the other hopefuls amounted to a buckt of snot, not Nordas, not any of them

Agree that improving circulation with light exercise is very beneficial for healing. Many people that undergo orthopedic related surgeries have prescribed movement of the affected area as soon as possible as part of recovery.
He is wearing a boot so actual movement and stress on the tendon and sheath are minimized.
And remember his problem and the surgery to correct it was with the tendon sheath, not the tendon itself. The timeline in the post above is for tendon healing which takes much longer.
