Is the superbowl the most watched idiotic event of all time? Compare this to a real sport like baseball, soccer, rugby or basketball. All out of shape men who take breaks every play. Beer commercials galore. People stuffing their face. Compare it to soccer that’s like jazz. American football has to be avoided today by any means necessary. Your thoughts?
Yep. The typical American is also overweight bordering on obese. To me it's a real if everyone else was jumping off a cliff would you join them type situation.
Have you been to a game? The tickets cost a fortune, most of the attendees are successful people and I don’t remember having seen obese fans.
I guess people are buying $500 tickets to jump off a cliff. “To me” is the only thing that makes sense in your post.
The tickets do cost a fortune, so I have not been to a game - better ways to spend my money. I wouldn't buy a $500 ticket to see a track meet either. I have some obese coworkers who go to a couple games a year. But remember, for most games the people watching in stadium are just a small number of the fans.

I’d like to see you say that to one of the “out of shape men” participating in today’s event.

The football players are mostly in very good shape. Part of this is their use of steroids and other peds, which the nfl looks the other way on. The nfl is like if the enhanced games were the dominant model in t&f and clean competition was some one off side show.
The NFL is the most popular sport in America and the most lucrative league in the world. So what if you’re not a fan. You probably know nothing about the sport including what a 1st down is. Many people find baseball to be boring and the people that like that sport, but not the NFL, are pretty rare. Soccer has minimal popularity in the U.S. and hardly anyone has played or watched rugby.
You don’t need to be a woman to realize that the game isn’t silly, it’s BORING…and the ads/Halftime Show have only gone downhill, it’s pretty sad. Basically, everything about it seems rather dull and scripted.

Idiotic is a polite word for the Super Bowl or for football. Its idiocy and barbarism is reminiscent of the depravity and baseness of live sporting entertainment of the ancient world, such as Roman gladiators. Different native populations of the Americas engaged in various games to the death. There’s many other examples of violent sporting; such as medieval jousting.
Football has always been evidence to me that no matter how technologically advanced and sophisticated the world gets, our human nature does not change and we are still stupid enough in the aggregate to be entertained by a bunch of guys beating on each other. No matter how elaborate the plays and strategies can be, no matter how athletic the players are, and no matter how many seemingly good intelligent people watch the sport; it is now, has always been, and always will be a bunch of grown a@% men hitting and tackling each other…at times causing irreversible bodily injury and brain damage and in the most extreme cases causing paralysis or death. It’s a horrible sign of immorality and a lack of ethics that football has such a massive following and unfortunately reveals a great deal about the shallow empty morals of the American people. Any people who can cheer and celebrate violence must be an amoral people.

It’s completely scripted and likely has been that way from the very beginning. TV advertisers risk too much when anything on tv is not scripted and controlled. Game shows and every sport is the same way. It’s all fake.
American football is boring AF. There’s like 12 minutes of actual gameplay padded with obnoxious ads catering to a lowest common denominator IQ and performative patriotism. Really questioning the integrity of the sport with the surge in popularity of online sports betting, too.
Football is the most boring ball games of all time.
1. Players do not control the game. Imagine pitchers and catchers are getting instruction from the bench before every pitch. That would make baseball boring as hell.
2. Players are hyper-specialized. Imagine you foul Shaq, and Reggie Miller comes in to attempt free throws for their team. That would make basketball boring as hell.
But most importantly...
3. Balls move in only one direction. One of the beauties of any "goal" sports is moving the ball around back and forth and diagonally to create an opening for a shot. Football takes out all the fun.

American Football players are truly lazy. They take breaks after every play. They’re athletic I give them that but that all goes to waste in the worst sport in the history of the world probably the universe if there is other life out there.
