Not to defend the guy, but I'd be curious to know how much his hemoglobin level increased, and also what is the accepted standard on a normal increase due to the effects of altitude training and iron supplements.
Not true. Wada currently has at its use an ELISA test that is able to detect synthetic epo. There are also tests to ense specific plastic markers seen in subjects that might also have used actual blood bags (donate then reinfuse) for autotransfusion.
