I like how you can say this no push back. Yea it might or might not be true if he’s clean. If I say anything about Sam Ruthe, Cam Myers, or Cole Hocker on here it’s the end of the world.
If we’re gonna speculate then let’s really speculate then. I know this is a Brazier post, but if you believe all 3 of those guys are clean 100% just reply to this with “yes I do”.
Actually, you know you’re being disingnuous about that guy’s remark. If anything, Brazier pulled something that would have had Hoppel or say recently retired Murphy or any other paleface crucified, to be blunt. But hardly a negative word was said Brazier indeed provided us with a patently too-good-too-be-true story, and meanwhile after Nats, Hoey gets battered and scores of accusations were fired at Lutkenaus of all people. And you ignore the fact that a lot has been said about the kids, accusations against the Wonders from Down Under, and you toss Hocker’s name in the mix as a roundabout way of accusing him along with them.
So while you’re waiting for that poster, I’ll do some speculation. Brazier freaked out over Hoppel running 1:41 at the Olympics. He snapped out of his depressive fog and had some Kersee style help in getting into his top condition ever in “five months”. Not a popular opinion, but it’s realistic. The virtue signaling by you and others is amazing in its scope. Oy vey, we see your game.
Those kids and Hocker? Their real crime to you is that they win races. What bothers is you is these are the wrong people, in your opinion, winning races.
I agree. But I can’t write that much lol. I would just tell him that Hocker didn’t disappear for three years and then suddenly pop up and run PRs on negligible training. That strains credulity far more than anything the new super-teens or Hocker have done.

Not gonna die on the Brazier hill. But Hoey was still losing to Isaiah Harris in 2024, now he’s breaking Kipketer world records okay. He will forever be suspect #1. You can at least argue Brazier was an all time talent (1:43 as the American Junior record) and all he had to do was focus on getting his speed back. If you wanna accuse Brazier go ahead, at least you’re asking questions. But don’t stop others frim questioning certain athletes who rarely get injured, never have slumps, and make big jumps.
I see people getting treated like idiots for even questioning Ruthe and Myers on the boards. And you’ll get shrugs and get called names for questioning how Hocker went from struggling to hang on to fast paces, to breaking an Olympic record owned by El Guerrouj. Hocker is a big outlier here, where are his hs or junior records? Just randomly popping up as the best miler ever now huh? I remember before the 2024 Olympic Final you guys were praying he’d nip somebody at the line for bronze. It’s beneath contempt to even engage with anybody who isn’t at least suspicious here.

Nah. Add me to those who don’t give Donnie a pass based on ancient performances. Hoey was all-time HS star, and his lunatic dad who wanted instant world titles and when it didn’t happen he kept stepping in and firing coaches. No wonder Hoey comes off a bit schizo. Brazier coming off a three year layoff and beating his almost six year old PR with only few months training (and nothing else) is a steaming pile of BS. Like other people have said, Lutkenhaus and some other talented youngsters will soon send all the questionables into retirement or at least the 1500m anyway.

I was a big fan of Donnie’s, but the story given to explain his improbable comeback was fishy to say the least. I guess it made for good NBC fluff fodder.
Heh, that’s about it. Thenupcoming outdoor season will be interesting. Cooper looks like he’s improved a bit already. That has to be on the mindsnof the rest of the USA’s top ten guys, even if Cooper doesn’t do much else indoors.
I’m just arguing guys like Hocker and Hoey are as suspicious as Brazier. I’m not dying on the Brazier hill. But I don’t like when others act like it’s crazy to at least raise your eyebrows at the 2. They both skipped a level objectively speaking.
One ran 3:29 ONE TIME then boom 3:27 off of a crazy last lap to beat El Guerooj’s record
Losing to Harris then boom alright we’re winning world indoors, battling with Wanyoni, and now breaking a Kipketer record. And now he wants to threaten a record by Rudisha. Who was a genetic freak and lived at altitude his entire life.
I know he has a natural long and powerful stride, but at milrose it looked like he had no turnover and was reaching. Looked like he was running in slow motion. I’ve never seen brazier look like this.
To me he looked like January getting ready for a summer of racing Diamond League.
I think that runners are in different places fitness wise with different goals this year.

**Actually, Hocker never broke 3:30 prior to breaking Jakob’s Olympic record
He then barely broke 3:30(3:29.85) a couple weeks after the olympics. Jakob smoked him by over 2 seconds in that race.
You are correct to highlight this. Hocker hasn’t come close to running sub 3:30 since. HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS
What is more suspicious, super human ability to hold near peak year round and grind people to dust like El G or Jakob, or peaking for one single performance in the year and not being able to hold that fitness at every other race?
Hocker having a perfect race on a single day is LESS suspicious than if he just ran 3:27 over and over.

El G had 1 season where he held near peak for approximately 4 weeks. Everything else he held “peak” for 2 weeks of racing from 199-2001. Every race before and after his 3:26-3:28 were north of 3:30.
Jakob held near peak for approximately 4 weeks in 2024. He also ran north of 3:30 before and after those fast 4 weeks.
So yes, Hocker running pedestrian times by today’s standards(faster track, faster shoes, improved bicarb delivery) for the entirety of his 1500m professional career only to explode to an impossible 3:27 in the Olympics finals is overtly suspicious.
No one can seriously or intellectually argue that Hocker is a generational talent. Everyone can agree that El G and Jakob ARE generational talents.
Turns out, a brazier provides outdoor heat, ambiance, or a cooking surface. Used since ancient times, it is a common feature at events, or on worksites to bring more heat It is built acilitate oxygen flow to the fire. As for.a Donovan, it gets the A Team to where they have to go next. Let he who has eyes read.
Yeah I think this is a fitness issue. From what I’ve read, he operates off more conservative workouts and low mileage because of his injury history. I’m guessing he’s not quite as fit as others this early in the year. That will definitely reflect itself in your strides efficiency.
If you look at last year, he dropped like 2-3 seconds off his season best in two months, he’s prob someone who races into shape a bit.
I said in another thread he got married over the holidays, went on a honeymoon, then drove from Florida to Colorado to relocate with his wife. he might not be there mentally or physically right now. also, theres no worlds or olympics this year so he might be taking it easy as he gears up for one final push. at his age it might be best to rest rather than grind through what is essentially an off year. we'll see. but the appearance fee from Millroce most likely paid for his honeymoon.
100%
Ahh..... So nice to read a post with common sense and logic. Clearly, the morons who post sh^t throwing shade on DB have never been married, gone on a honeymoon, or have been a world class athlete.

It's beginning of February. If he looks like this July 1st push the panic button then
