My high school coach entered my team in too many meets during indoor season (10), and so about 10 of us who qualified in individual events and relays were not allowed to compete. What is the best course of action? This coach has a long history of narcissism and confrontation with parents because she believes she knows everything. Should we complain to principal or take it to school board? Myself and my parents are so frustrated. I love track but I can’t stand this coach.
First, where do you live where you have a chance to race 10 times during Indoors? Nice problem to have!
Second, if you thought it was too much, why not just bail on a few of those meets? Family event, pulled muscle, illness.. blah blah blah.. there's a passive aggressive way to avoid over racing, you just need to talk it over with parents first.
Indoor is nuts now. There are no less than 2-3 indoor meets per weekend with up to 100-500 kids per event where I am. Well over 1000 kids per meet. Im not saying this is good.
I am actually not sure what the OP is asking? Your coach entered the team in 10 meets...and how does this mean you can't compete? Could you re phrase.
