I don't think gut wrenching means what you think it means...
When I first heard about her driving 104 and going to jail I thought "yeah that's what happens". When I watched the video and saw her pleading with the officer it was definitely gut wrenching to me. I felt a lot of sympathy for her.
What a choice of words -- gut wrenching? How so? Its just a spoiled brat going to jail for driving 104 mph. 104mph is driving privileges revoked territory. Nothing gut wrenching about it. How is it possible for you to have sympathy for her? 104 mph is serious! She shouldn't have a license.
She has a habit of serial run-ins with the law. Stop the cycle.
Pre had a reputation in Eugene for drunk and reckless driving. But the Po Po had a catch and release program for him that they regretted after he finally dealt with the consequences. Consider Sha'Carri lucky.
PS. She was also using her cellphone while driving.

What about the possibilities of her own welfare/ death and the innocents she is endangering with her sloppy lifestyle choices..? At 100+ mph she’s a missile on four wheels; letting her go is irresponsible on the side of the law officer.
If only she started her plea by telling the officer that she's an Olympic and World Championships gold medalist, and maybe offered him one of her golds.
Girl can't help it - she feels the need for speed.

That’s silly. She feels the law doesn’t apply to her and thinks she’s entitled to extra leeway for some reason…lol. I’m guessing there’s an extremely low IQ thing going on here and for that I’m sympathetic but she seems to be in need of learning lessons ‘the hard way’.
From the video, it’s pretty clear she is accelerating just to pass slower traffic, which is legal in my state (Florida is a weird place so maybe it is not there?). Seems like there was no safety risk, and she used her turn signal. Weird to me that she was even pulled over.
These days I’m a very conservative driver, but I’ve been let off with a ticket very long back in a situation like this. The cop said he clocked me at 105 but was putting down a smaller number on the ticket because otherwise he would have to arrest me. He was also smiley faced while saying that, so I wasn’t even sure if he was serious.
The cop here could have been kinder but was anal retentive. What a butt clenching video.
There's already threads on this. I thought you wanted 1 thread per topic
The more something is about the running world or someone in it, we're more likely to let there be more threads. 1) The video being released is being picked up nationwide.
2) In the other thread, people don't even realize the video is out.
3) I had no idea the video was out until seeing it on 2 other mainstream news sites so it warrants its own thread.
caught for marijuana, hasn't learned her lessons. got whipped by bf at airport, more shenanigans, wejo I'm saying on the record that she is being mind-controlled by the dod already.
If only she started her plea by telling the officer that she's an Olympic and World Championships gold medalist, and maybe offered him one of her golds.

she feels the need for sex, marijuana and mobile phones maybe? She has a dod bounty on her, just look at her, she's so screwed up emotionally and mentally......she's a victim.

Spoiled brat manipulator with female smile charm and tears .... the officer knows the drill, Rojo does not get it. the officer however started to feel her pain as he laid off the tough love, letting her know 500 bucks bond and shes on her way.
Regarding Pre, the above story is the one I heard in Eugene in 1978 from runners. temporary insanity, and permanent result.
Its not gut wrenching and she needs to grow up. She did 104 mph, she could have killed multiple people. Each successive generation gets softer. Youngsters these days. Eyeroll.
Exactly. Although it’s hilarious that she was basically offering to give the officer some luvin’ if he would let her go. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
I think the cop is a dick for going up to her and first thing says wipe that smile off your face you're going to jail. I've been pulled over speeding countless times and never had a cop start out like that. Always let me go home and gave me a ticket with a court date. I am white so I do get police leniency privilege. I don't think she deserved to go to jail. At least not without letting her explain herself first. Most cops start with 'you know why I pulled you over' and give you a chance to somewhat explain yourself.
And for those complaining about how dangerous 104 is, it's only fast on paper. I crack 100 driving almost daily. In a car like hers that's nothing. Granted when I do it I'm not flashing people to get out of my way and keep hyper focused on cops, but still. 104 is "fast" but I bet many people who post here hit that or close to it semi regularly
LOL. What an Idiot! I love it! I love it because I hate crazy drivers. Slow down! She looks like she was driving a nice car, usually the cars driving crazy are crappy cars usually with damage or rust. I see the tears started up, never trust a woman that's crying. Any idiots or her blaming this on Muh "racism" yet? Probably. Finally, I love the Police. It's a tough job and some make it harder for them. I will make a donation to my local police today.

This is the same sympathy that leads you to feel bad for a certain poster with serious mental issues that posts the most disgusting and insulting things about female runners and gay pro runners. "He's just mentally challenged, it's not his fault, I feel such sympathy for him. I'm going to lift his ban again, mods." I'm sure you fit right in out there in San Francisco.
It was possible to feel a little sympathy when she smoked marijuana to help deal with the passing of her mother before the Olympics, but this behavior is extremely dangerous to everyone on the road and could easily have led to innocent people getting killed if she lost control at that speed.
