Is there a different logo if I am a “member plus”? It’s a joke that they make such a point about including liberty and inclusivity when the prices are increasingly oppressive and exclusionary.
In an effort to over-stylize and abstract, the logo lost all of its soul. Most modern logos suffer from the same, and it says a lot about the team involved in its design.
Is every modern logo now going for this "modern" "abstract" look. It looks very clean but I've seen a lot of logos recently like this.

No, probably not. The bigger the corporation, the bigger the pressure and the higher the chance that a committee "designs" the logo.
...and this is what you get when you tell the design firm:
It can't look too much like a male It can't look too much like a female It can't look too white It can't look too black It can't look too (insert every other race, color, sex, gender, etc her) It can't look like a runner because we have non runners. We don't call them walkers. It can't look too skinny because we encourage all shapes and sizes to come out
I interviewed for NYRR back in like 2022 for web and design stuff. One of the funniest interviews of my life. Pay was massively below the market rate for the experience they wanted. Almost any question I asked about the role and salary were met with a weird, vague statement like, "NYRR cares about our community!"
Not surprising they're doing a new a dumbas$ logo.
