I despised Trump beginning with that USFL idiocy in 1985 and have never had a fleck of respect for him subsequently. I had moved to Las Vegas in 1984. Wagering on the USFL was cupcakes. The oddsmakers had no idea how to set a line because it was called pro football but had college-type disparity. Three team parlays felt like they should be paying Even money yet were the standard 6/1.

So yeah, when Trump took that away I was beyond furious. Those Las Vegas oddsmakers later conceded that those USFL numbers were easily the worst work of their career.
