I guess it's because of all of the manmade barriers which are fun but a lead vehicle would get stuck in the sand/mud/water. This is borderline unwatchable for me, which is frustrating for a high level meet showcasing some of the best runners in the sport.

I recall the NCAA champs held here having decent coverage. It looks like the space used for the camera buggy to the left of the course is being used for spectators. At least fly the drone a bit lower then!!
