Welcome to heavyweight boxing. I do appreciate a lot of this sort of thing is new for a Jake Paul fan.
I watched Joshua get destroyed by a fat, unranked mexican heavyweight a few years ago...Maybe that's when he decided to take the steroid route...He's obviously juiced.
Ah 'fat unranked Mexican'. Definitely a Jake Paul superfan.
LOL at people on here thinking it’s completely normal to go traipsing around the third world because you have a holiday off. Yep, totally normal to jet off to a lawless land for your day off!
as i always say as i pass an accident - someone was either texting & driving or driving like a total a$hole - there's really no other reason for a crash in 99.9% of cases. Driving is easy and driving defensively is easy too.
Have you ever driven in a less developed country? It’s a wonder anyone lives to adulthood.

Bless you.
He [Ruiz] was fat, he was Mexican, and he was a 25-1 underdog. [ bigger dog than Jake Paull was].
But he was also wba ranked #5, 32-1 with the only loss being a super close decision against WBO champ. And weighed twenty pounds more than AJ. So in hindsight, certainly strange he was such a mega underdog.
People need to slow down. Harsher penalties for out-of-control driving needed asap. On a related note how come almost every time you see someone driving crazy on the highway it's someone in a crappy car, usually with damage? Nothing to lose? Dummies? Losers!
I would guess Joshua went to Nigeria because it's warm there during the winter. And to celebrate his big win over the famous Jake Paul. Apparently he also likes to drive around in split running shorts.
Seriously Jake miscalculated his cred from aiming so high. Now his is treated like a novice again, a bum. But there's a lot of pro boxers he could beat, unknowns with 3 - 5 -1 records and such. There's a whole market of career undercard fighters who will do 100, even 200 bouts in their lifetime, lots more of them than there are champions.

According to the article, Joshua suffered only minor injuries. It’s funny that you identify a boxer that won a Gold Medsl and has had a steller professional career, as the guy who beat Jake Paul who happens to be the worst “boxer” he has ever fought.
Come on, he's much more well known for beating Jake Paul than for anything else he's ever done in his life. I had never heard of the guy before the Jake Paul fight was announced.
Unfortunately this is likely correct, and just kind of the way of the world. His profile was raised massively by fighting a douchebag influencer dude, despite the fact that he already had a very impressive athletic resume.

It wasn’t a big win for Joshua and he was criticized for selling out by taking such a ridiculous fight. Unless Paul had had the cardio strength to run laps around the ring for eight rounds, he was guaranteed to get knocked out. He said after the fight that he regrets not training at altitude.
He is, and always will be, a bum and a novice. There is no market for Paul to fight tomato cans. You seem to be a Paul fan; what do you think his strategy will be moving forward? Will he fight big guys who will knock him or go back to miss matches in his favor. He talks about fighting at cruiserweight, but even if has the natural talent to do so, it will be several years before he’s ready to take on a contender.

What I am is someone familiar with the depth that exists in pro boxing. Like I just said, you're not either a contender or a bum. Only a tiny percentage of pro boxers are ever called contenders, and only false contenders are called "bums." Jake Paul has not gone after a belt, so he's not a "bum." He's just clever at self-promotion. And he's easily somewhere within the broad spectrum of undercard dwellers who get paid a few thousand to show up at lower-tier events. It's not all at Caesar's Palace.

True....These runnerboys know nothing about boxing....

Ruiz was born in California and is not a Mexican. Is Oscar De La Hoya also a Mexican?

You didn’t really answer my question. He’s not going to fight another good heavyweight and the market for his faux fights has probably dried up. Is he going to make big bucks for being an undercard dweller at a lower-tier event?
