From the various definitions I've read, to "clap back" implies some level of power, wit, or pertinence in the response to the original comment. Merely bringing up an unrelated squabble over $400 in merchandise doesn't seem to qualify. I know very little about Citius magazine, but Colleen's comment sounds sensible, especially if anyone was even remotely influenced by Citius's coverage of Grand Slam Track to have anything to do with it. The good news, as I understand it, is that Citius is now one of the biggest unsecured creditors in the bankruptcy proceeding.

As of last count Emma Gee has 37 likes on her comment compared to 86 for the OP Colleen, so I would still suggest nearly halfway to a ratio is a clap back.

can someone explain to me why anyone would be upset a startup league partnered with a media company to help promote itself. it's standard operating procedure to do this. you can't have a league unless you have a few media groups attached.
and $270,000 is nothing, frankly it's a rather embarrassing sum.
to put it into perspective, Professional Cornhole and Disc Golf have media partnerships worth tens of millions.
You know Colleen would love to get her paws on money like that if she’s asking athletes for $400 back.

What really made my day as finding out what the great Colleen Quigley thinks about this. With having such a successful marketing effort in her fake track team and being a pro grifter in general, I know her opinion is totally valid.

I actually found out about this on reddit. There's a sub over there that is basically the Shoetuber thread but for women. It's just a bunch of catty fat/slow women talking crap about hot female influencers. I highly recommend it.

I believe Colleen used to be pretty good friends with Nikki as recently as early this year, when they both announced being coached by Juli. Was the fallout just as recently as the weird thing with the athlete Colleen tried to guilt into giving her money back?? If I remember correctly, Colleen also had some issues with the bowerman babes while on the team. Seems like there is a common denominator in these female friendships.

Wow, this is just a surreal alternate universe. Everyone commenting on Quigley's post is a who's who of thirsty clout chasers with insufferable opinions I had forgotten from X/Twitter. Why is it so many people who aren't real players in the sport have an opinion ready to share about it? Sweet Jesus, even though Gee deleted the linked post, the first and only post that loads on her Threads is a series of bikini pics, makes it look like she's trying to promote an OF account. It would take years of built-up cognitive dissonance to take any of that seriously or even to find it interesting at all. Total clown show.
