If you are referencing my screen name, clearly you have never seen Reiner's best movie.
I get it.
RIP Rob Reiner and wife.
Crazy. I was watching Spinal Tap ll yesterday laughing my ass off. So sad to find out about this just after I finished watching the movie. Thank you for all the great movies and shows you directed and played characters in - you will be missed. RIP Rob Reiner and wife.

apparently his son was a lifelong drug addict, and I guess he also suffers from severe mental illness. dude was Hollywood royalty and destroyed his life with drugs, and now he kills his parents. this story could be a family in a trailer park but it's in the highest of high dollar neighborhoods. mental health and drug problems cut across class lines.

While you are correct, it is important to note that Hollywood is low class. Reiner himself was a phenomenal talent and I have nothing bad to say about him, but we should not presume that Hollywood is inherently high class because they have money. Class and wealth are two very different things.
Reiner was on the Mount Rushmore of TDS. As I said, I’m not gonna celebrate and I don’t wanna see anybody go out like that, but Reiner was seriously obsessed with Trump, to a bizarre extent.

See also: Menendez bros, though they apparently didn't use drugs to numb their pain/trauma.
“Rob Reiner had one of the most wide-ranging audiences of any American filmmaker. People rewatch his movies with nostalgia and joy. They quote them with parents and pass them down to children. Ignore the other one's commentary. It's like a black hole commenting on the sun”.
The Mount Rushmore of Hollywood TDS 1 Deniro 2 Reiner 3 Mark Hamill 4 Rosie O’Donnel Honorable Mention: Kathy Griffin, Streisand, The Japanese Star Trek Guy
Why are people saying RIP? Rob was a self proclaimed Athiest. If there is no god and there is no afterlife, then there is no rest. It is simply the end.
