Gal Gadot is the worst big movie actor of all time

Sydney Sweeney is a better actor than Gal Gadot. Gal Gadot is comically terrible. She is beautiful, but I don't think it justifies putting someone THAT bad at acting in lead roles. Sydney is below average for a Hollywood actress but is not terrible, and after the way she handled her recent interview with that ugly Stein woman, she deserves to be celebrated.

Yet she somehow has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Wonder why?

Never heard of her but Godot will probably one day be a great actor. Just you wait.

I'm not sure the conservatives started that one, that was libs letting a couple of leftists online guide their (lack of) thinking. The kind of leftists for whom everyone except them and their three closest friends are Nazis. Now, you're probably correct that the conservative culture warriors dug right in once the Sweeney ad became an issue in the culture war, and have kept it alive for such purposes... though with any culture war nonsense, it's getting harder to tell who is sincere, who is being strategic, and who's just trolling.

And obviously, we didn't have to wait long for the conservative side to do exactly the same thing with the proposed update to the Cracker Barrel logo. All those rightists for whom everyone except themselves and their three closest friends are "woke."

Walk of Fame stars don't have any necessary connection to talent. You apply for them and pay for them. Approval tends to correspond to being a well-publicised name. It's a tourist attraction controlled by the local Chamber of Commerce, and they want names that will bring wallets to that area to spend money.

The idea that it's a prize in recognition of talent is just their marketing campaign at work. No one's going to come visit the Walk of Celebrities Who Paid To Have Their Name On The Sidewalk

Putting a lousy actor in the Furious and Batman movies that are long running box office winners does not make her a good actor.

I didn’t claim that she is a good actor. I responded to a post implying she is not a well known name.

Couple thoughts on this thread.

- Gal Gadot is not great at acting. I'm also not sure if anyone actually thinks she is. She is primarily cast in action/cartoon movies where her look and physical acting is more important than anything else.

- I'm not sure what qualifies a person as a "big movie actor", but acting in general is vastly improved from prior eras, particularly when comparing against the years soon after silent movies ended. People just didn't know how to act in 'talkies' at the time and it shows - oscar nominated performances in the 1930s were at about the level you'd expect from someone with no film acting experience/training. Plus the expectations at the time were more that of stage plays which requires a different acting style than film does. I'd say Gal Gadot is a lot better than many performance that I see in some of the most watched movies in history, particularly pre-1970.
