The Northwest Front is about building a new, better society where everyone contributes, everyone benefits, and all share a common set of values and cultural beliefs because of a common racial heritage.
1. so peaceful and so little crime, people don't even lock their bikes, everyone trust's each other, Japan even has the USA beat with lower crime and people trusting each other.
2. Jamaica like the song on and on starts, down in Jamaica they have lots of pretty women, very little crime.
3. I am sure I will stay in America, as we have lots of diversity meaning lots of choices in restaurants to go to, Seems All different Restaurants have something I like to eat, And I believe The more diverse we are means the more united the people will be, Basically I strongly believe Diversity = Unity.
Lets say that you are not happy with how things are playing out in the US, and you are reviewing your options if you decide you can't live here anymore.
What country would you like to move to? And why?
I'm thinking some of the scandanavian countries, but open to ideas. And don't want to find myself in a similar situation.
Where's it looking good abroad?
Definitely a country that limits immigration and doesn’t want to become Muslim majority.
This statement is overly broad, probably because the poster has never been out of the U.S. and only gets his news from right wing pod casters.
I currently live in Malaysia. Which is Muslim majority, and aside from the heat, it is a wonderful place to live. The people are very kind and welcoming and there is 0, I repeat, 0 gun violence.
I also have spent time in Indonesia, another Muslim majority country, and again, the people are warm and welcoming.
Not all Muslims are terrorists, criminals, violent or hate non-Muslims.

I've actually been researching it. Uraguay is one of the top rated Democracies in the world and is food independent.
A 3 bedroom/2 bath house 7 minutes from the ocean is $68k.

There are still many great places to move to in the US, but if I had to leave the US, I would consider Canada.
Fortunately I already live in Europe, peacefully with other immigrants from all over, and will have a good pension and healthcare.
I think the top factor is where you can get a long term residence visa.
Seems relatively affordable in Philippines or Thailand. Probably other places, both have pretty high English speaking populations.
Czech has a relatively easy self employed visa path.
Chile I think you can get long term visa buying a $70k property. Uruguay and Paraguay I believe are fairly easy.
I’m still figuring out my long term option but I’ll be gone until the political situation calms down in the US. Long term South America and SE Asia seem more stable than US, but even Japan just elected a far right leader (that’s a relative term compared to US).
If AGI is reached in the next 10 years it will likely happen in the USA. If that happens, the USA will effectively own the global economy with output and productivity multiplied by hundreds or thousands of times. This is why the stockmarket has been skyrocketing (or becoming a bubble if you are a sceptic).
So in 10 years time we could be in a situation in which every US citizen has UBI which effectively makes him a multi-millionaire, whilst the rest of the world is reliant on US charity.
If you think this is BS, fair enough, but if you think there is even a 5% chance of it happening, I would at the very least retain my US citizenship.
Portugal has been popular for the last 4-5 years. I've been a few times. Many people speak English. The weather is good. However, there seems to be some backlash, particularly in Lisbon due to the large influx of foreigners. Not sure I'd want to live there.
There's a lesson in there for you libs. Nobody likes mass immigration. Stop doing it and stop forcing it on people
I believe the OP is talking about emigration with an “e”. Look it up, unless your library has burned the dictionary…Florida and Texas we see you. Maybe if conservatives spent more time in school rather than trying to destroy the education and freedoms of others we wouldn’t be at a point where scientists, doctors and anyone with an IQ over 80 is ready to jump off the Titanic. Funny how most of those leaving the US are people looking to flee right wing oppression and the verbal and physical attacks of so called, true American patriots. They want a life where they are free to do what they want with like minded people. They are woke just like the people on the Mayflower.

This is funny, because based on US cultural precedents, if AGI is reached in the US 99+% of the population would become completely expendable. Ellison and Musk have more money than they’ll ever need but focus on hoarding more. The billionaire class will not suddenly become altruistic. Whoever controls it will fully become a super villain.
Also, data/AGI will not happen in any country. It will happen on an interconnected web that will be accessible worldwide. There would be no US advantage. Given human nature we’d likely devolve to a mad max like situation and it really would come down to who the machines choose to side with.
Nah, I ain't going nowhere. The angry boomers will die off soon and we'll have a vibrant, multicultural, booming economy, liberal democracy.
I wish that were true but I was at the last No Kings rally and was definitely one of the youngest. I’m in my late 50s
This makes zero sense. There were hundreds if not thousands of rallies and depending on the demographics of the area the crowds varied tremendously. I’m obvs out of the country, but have lots of friends (20s to 60s) that attended different rallies.

Well, you know they are the same person… emigrant from their home country eventually is an immigrant in their new country.
And Portuguese are tired of emigrants, immigrating to their country and driving up prices.
I’ve been to a lot of different countries. Japan is the only one I researched how to become a resident/citizen. Tokyo is extremely clean and safe and most people speak some English. I liked Kyoto even better than Tokyo.
The rural areas around Mt. Fuji had fewer people that spoke English but I learned enough Japanese to get around.
That said, I don’t think I’ll ever leave the US. We have our problems like every country, but the pros outweigh the cons for me.
