It's highly unlikely she goes from like a 13.5 100m to an 11.9 by just doing 200m/400m/800m/3000m paces like they said they do in the summers.
Surely they're doing the occasional sprint training days like a typical sprinter would.
Maturing from like 17 to 20 gets you a good chunk of the time.
there are plenty of 400/800 (and a low 51 is pretty fast for a woman) runners who are doing the 30mpw of intensity. They all do a decent amount of speed work.
