Maybe he’ll read that stat again. Maybe you can provide us a solid interpretation of it..
I agree that the people who answered that survey in that manner have a very bad sense of what they might justify.
But what did the survey ask? Didn’t ask, “ do you believe people should be killed for what they say?” “ do you believe people should be killed for their views?”
”is political violence ever justified?”
and you’re including people who say “sometimes.”
I disagree very strongly with those people.
But there is currently a prominent world leader who has been dogged by reasonable accusations that he has killed political opponents.
I don’t believe violence is a solution to that kind of problem, but if somebody had that in mind, they might answer the survey/poll with “sometimes.” That would be the rare end extreme instance they have in mind..
And then people like you try to get Americans angry at their neighbors by insinuating that 50% of people on the left believe that anyone who speaks up in disagreement should be subjective violence.
And that is far, far, far from the truth.
