Why do you call fans of a clean sport, who are annoyed by such drug cheats, "haters"?

Yeah, really funny.
Happy Houliday! Shelby Houlihan is the Comeback Female Athlete of the Year!
She is the definition of resilience. After four years of exile, she came back and won a world indoor silver medal, won the USA title, and finished 4th in the world!
Hallehoulihan!!!
Heroic performance by Shelbo, the goddess of peaking! And props to Andrews too!
I thought finishing in the top 10 seemed like a good goal, but 4th? And outkicking Tsegay? Someone get this lady a contract!

Yes, but unfortunately not nearly enough speed or talent. Got dropped in a slow race.

Contract? She is old. That race right there was her peak. She will not be a factor in LA.
same! pure grit and determination. She served her time whether you believe she was guilty or not. grow up with these outrageous comments. Plenty of other current runners are doped to the gills and we all know it.
I don’t know about PEDs, but the Italian is scary thin.

Druggies don't count. She should not even have been there. Took someone else's place.

Irony:
2021 Houlihan gets popped for drugs and is banned for 4 years.
2025: Houlihan makes her return and finishes 4th at Worlds
2026: One of top-3 gets popped for drugs and Houlihan moves up to bronze
Finish fourth must feel offal. Getting a medal just because someone who finished ahead of you gets popped for juicing would still probably feel offal.
As much as people don’t want to admit, she is the single most talented female runner we have ever had. At least in the last 20 years. If not for the ban, she would have a collection of medals right now, maybe even some of them gold.
In the Top4, Shelby was the only proven PED cheat.

Other than Geordie this was the most redeeming part of the meet for me.

Do you mean when Shelburrito gets AGAIN banned for eating too many burritos?

The point is that the reason of the ban is the reason why she was able to run like that...

Astute observation. So true.
As well, Shelby has inspiration from best-friend Emily Infeld who set prs this year at age 35 as well as Nadia Battocletti who has proven over the past 13 months that a non-African-born/non-altitude-born woman can win medals on the global stage.
In Shelby's 13-minute post-race interview w/LRC, she mentioned she wants to set prs at everything next year, from breaking 2-flat in the 800 to breaking 30-flat in the 10,000.
And, all but confirmed she will be racing USA XC Nationals in December.
