Less interesting. I think the PV/HJ should be modeled after the TJ and LJ. The height you jump is your height, not whether you cleared the bar. Less incentive to move things another cm each time IMO

Yeah. I also think that clearing the bar makes for a more entertaining competitive format. Crouser's shot put competition (I think it was in May) where the guys had to throw certain distance to advance to the next round was in many ways more entertaining than a "normal" shot put competition.
