Beyond the obvious Hodgkinson, Kipyegon, Bol, and Chebet, I'd be a bit surprised if Wanyonyi didn't win. He seems the closest thing to a lock on the track for the men.
In the field, Mondo is a clear lock and I'd also go for Tentoglu. The guy doesn't seem to lose when it matters.
Chase Jackson also seems to be on another level to everyone else this year so I'd give her the gold right now.

emmanuel karalis will defeat Mondo at Worlds. He has not so quietly been putting together one of the greatest PV seasons of all time, and all it takes is a couple of missteps by mondo. Yes, Duplantis is consistent above 6m, but jumping that with no misses isn’t always a given, and heights above that on a championship aren’t guaranteed even for mondo. Karalis has the ability to jump 20’ right now.
