Time and time again since I was a teenager I’ve been told to wear deodorant. I don’t want to wear it. You think our ancestors wore deodorant? If you wear deodorant you take away an essential human trait. Our feralness and the animals we once were. There’s something intoxicating about our smell that deodorant, cologne and perfume destroys. Does anyone else here also not wear deodorant? I think it’s one of the great scams. What do you think?
Are you Asian? East Asians genetically do not need deodorant.

Deodorant is bad for all races, ages, and genders.
I think it’s important to note that there’s a big difference between deodorant and antiperspirant. In this conversation, “deodorant” is being used as a blanket term, but in reality there are dozens of deodorant products that don’t have aluminum or other endocrine-modifying/skin-itrritating ingredients. So called “natural” deodorants use natural ingredients to reduce sweat output and mask the scent a bit.
I’ve been using them for a few decades and love it. I don’t think I smell that bad, at a baseline, and they provide a little help without messing up my body.
I don’t wipe my butt. You think our ancestors wiped their butts? There is something feral about a non-wiped butt that wiping destroys.
This is the type of person who never had sex with lover or lovers and gazed up at the stars afterwards. Reclaim the animal and reject capitalism and the government.
Potentially a troll thread and many trolling replies in this thread, but I'll respond seriously.
I haven't used deodorant in 10 years or so. I found that after a few weeks my body odor adjusted to the change. I still smell like BO after physical activity but it is a less aggressive smell than when I was wearing deodorant. After a shower I'm back to smelling like not much of anything.
I do think people react to different people's body odors differently. And I understand that some people find any form of human odor offensive. But I prefer human smell to whatever chemical concoction that most people use.
There's an old saying that you should never pass up a breath mint when offered. Same concept applies when others ask you to wear deodorant.
Not gonna happen. I don’t smell. Trust me. I shower and I am vegan.
And yet in your OP you talk about human odor as being feral and intoxicating. Sorry but you do smell. Maybe you've grown accustomed to it in the same way a dairy farmer doesn't notice the barnyard aroma anymore.

Meat diet is a bipartisan issue, subsidized by the government to artificially achieve lower meat prices.

I was going to post the same thing. There is a difference between deodorant and anti-perspirant. Just analyze the names of the products; one deodorizes and the other stop the perspiration. As said, there are many natural options for deodorants. I only use deodorant too.

I've noticed many don't understand that aluminum was never a part of antiperspirant solutions. It's gotten to the point that deodorant makers were like, shoot, let's just advertise 'aluminum free' even though that was never a thing, since that's what people want. Interesting lesson in behavioral economics.
There were only ever aluminum salts, which are a COMPLETELY different thing and one with no known adverse effects. No cancer links, no Alzheimer's, etc.
Interestingly enough, no one makes this mistake with other things like Sodium (reactive metal or table salt) and Chlorine. Maybe that will be the next big movement!
