Not a pro world ranking - but a #1 world ranking in any category is worth noting in a conversation about longevity in the sport. Also, numerous masters athletes that trained under Eyestone have won US masters championships in recent years.
Are you aware of a different coach that has their athletes peak in their later years (35+) rather than before that? If so - what is the sample size of that group and what do you think are some of the differences that extend their elite status?
I think in most sports, most athletes have their best years prior to hitting their 30s. 3 quick google searches shot back that the average age of NFL, NBA and track and field athletes were all 26 years old.
If that's an average, it seems strange to insinuate that a specific faith or population has some sort of isolated regression compared to the mean.
I think what Eyestone is doing in Provo is working just fine compared to the rest of the country and what different groups and coaches are doing.
