Yeah some of the comments on another thread were kind of cringe when they suggested he was training through USAs, as if somehow he was at a disadvantage compared to the others. I'm pretty sure Galen also "trained through".
Maybe he wasn’t at his absolute best, but the train through excuse is nonsense. He got beat in both events fair and square.
