I hope she returns to racing. Enjoy seeing her make US races fast by running from the front. She had a great 2024 after giving birth to her first son. Having two young boys will be an even greater challenge. Will the 2025 US women’s 1500 be fast w/o her or will it be tactical like 2023 when she had her first son?
No. I used to like her because I lived and loved Vermont. But ever since her training partner, McLean beat her in indoor 1500 and she snubbed her I saw her true personality. She's all nice until one of her training partners had the talent (and nerve) to beat her. Don't like her. But regardless, the world of track has moved on. Too competitive currently. No. Has nothing to do with competitive. You can be competitive and a good sport . She displayed poor sportsmanship and even worse to a teammate and supposed friend.

She never was anywhere near the top regardless of how many times she tried to physically wrestle her way to the front.
She ain't Brenda Martinez- throwing elbows, blocking every lane and causing pile ups on the track. The women's 1500 is a much safer place since she left the scene.
Vermont’s favorite world champion and two-time Olympic 1500 meter finalist appears to be back in training following the birth of her second child in May. She bounced back stronger and faster than ever following the birth of her first child in 2023.
In 2024 she won the world indoor 3000 and set PRs in the 1500 (3:55.99), mile (4:16.41 AR), 3000 (8:20.87 AR), and 5000 (14:34).
Can she do it again at 30? Hope so. Rooting for her.
I hope she comes back better than ever. It sucks that female athletes feel like they have to choose between their career and motherhood. Hopefully ESP shares her wisdom and teaches other athletes how to do both.
