Look man, just because she's a white American girl doesn't mean she's not doped to the gills, too. All of these Americans suddenly running 3:58 or better... really? If you're running faster than about 4:03, you're doping.

BTW, yet another record and or performance NOBODY called on this forum. Add her to Valby, Kessler, Richardson, Jorgensen, and many others
Sinclaire great race but even she was subdued afterwords cause she in fact, knows she still got smacked down in the race, the record for the mile is not that fast and finally Nicki and Elle are still faster than she is due the 3:55 1500 is better than 4:16 mile.
I wish her well at the Us championships but I still think despite this, she is on the outside looking in and she knows it!

To which runners is she on the outside looking in for the USATF meet? Hiltz and ????
We have come a long way. The bigots now are happy to have a minority person being a record holder over a non-binary person. We can call it progress of a sort.

Ok, why don't we call it for what it is, she is an AMERICAN WOMAN for heaven's sake. No where but in America do we get bogged down with the hyphenated naming of people.
It's a good time, but inferior to her 3:56 1500 PB, according to the World Athletics tables. Worth around a 3:58 1500.
I assume it is just because they don’t run the mile when people are in peak shape very often but you would expect that some of these 3:55/3:56 ladies would be closer to 4:14
"I needed to have the year I had to really give me the push to make the changes I made." In 2022, Sinclaire Johnson cemented her spot as a middle-distance rising star when she broke the women's 1500m tape at the U.S. National...
Perseverating about the racial & ethnic makeup of athletes is a low IQ pursuit. Who gives a fukk other than some of you mouth breathers?
Respectfully, I disagree.
Representation and visibility matter a lot for young athletes. It's still rare to see women competing in distance running in the US who are not caucasian or East African-descent. It helps for young athletes to see professionals who look like themselves.
I think it's notable that Sinclaire has a unique biracial background and if anything, will hopefully encourage other young athletes to try their hand at 1500m and above.
She's a phenomenal athlete and I'm rooting for her to make the team this summer.

Im starting to get a feeling that everyone is covering to hard for the fact that nobody predicted this from her. At the end of the day this entire board predicted the demise of Parker Valby in college, Hobbs Kessler was washed up 2 years ago, well never see Shacari Richardson again, Bryce Hopel was washed up, Cole Hocker was done 2 years ago, Shelby Houlihan won't be able to compete at any level again. Basically none of you know crap. She proved you all wrong. If you beat an AR/ world record by Mary Decker by 2 sec you good in my book.

While I agree with your sentiment and what you’re saying, this forum has an odd fascination with ethnicity. I doubt that people are drawing attention Johnson’s racial composition in order to encourage young athletes that may also be biracial to “try their hand at 1500m and above.”
Any time that there’s a biracial athlete that excels some people try to make something out of it. We’ve seen the same with Syd, Anna Hall, and others. It happens in all sports, not just T&F.

Isn't Fisher part Hispanic?
but other than that I'd agree with you - trials seem to be nearly all white or east African for distance.
