Agreed, Republican states are just out of control with crime. Tennessee's murder rate is 30% higher than California's. We need more meets in LA and NY where people actually enjoy going and feel safe

2:00 in 6th for Athing. She gave a good effort and put herself in good position (2nd behind Maloney), but she faded on the homestretch. She just doesn't have the fitness at this point. At least it was an improvement from Pre.
Looked better in the first 400 relative to Pre, but faded badly in the last 100. Notable that Rose and Akins were both behind her. Neither of them looked sharp.
Honestly, it looks like Mu is just out of shape. I hope she keeps racing - I think 2-3 more races would be hugely beneficial.

Not being fit is 100% her fault. She's obviously not willing to put in the work. That time wouldn't have even made her competitive at the recent NCAA Championships, never mind the upcoming USA Championships.
She opened up at Prefontaine and dropped 3 seconds 1 week later. If she drops 3 more she runs 1:57.
You haven't been paying attention. Athing Mu ran 2:03 at Pre because she ran a lot of the race in lane 2 and then she gave up the last 50 meters and jogged in. She did NOT gain 3 seconds of fitness in the last week.
