I think she has a better chance at the 1500m American Record rather than the 800m record. But overall I agree with your sentiment.
For what it's worth, Mu's record is worth 1254 WA points and Houlihan's is 1246 points. Ultimately, I think over her entire career she has the ability to break the 800m, 1000m, 1500m, mile, and 2000m, but admittedly it will be unlikely to hold them all. The point levels of the American Records:
What did Wiley run? Up above someone said her time was equivalent to about a 1:54:4 - but the points listed above show Muir - whose PR is 1:54:7 - with 1254 points and only 1227 for Wiley. Was that her old time?
Impressive performance! She was boxed in for the first 700m because the pacer sucked and was basically just impeding the runners. With Keely hurt, Moraa sucking, and Mu looking out of form, Wiley can absolutely medal In Tokyo!

Pacer was actually fine, the women were just a bit anxious and ran it more like an 800 than a 1000.
Addy Wiley - 1:56.45 (2:30.71 for 1000m) Sinclaire Johnson - 1:56.89 (2:31.30 for 1000m) Addy Wiley – 1:57.55 Michaela Rose – 1:58.12 Roisin Willis – 1:58.13 Nikki Hiltz – 1:58.23 Raevyn Rogers – 1:58.49 (only sub-2 since 2023) Addy Wiley – 1:58.59 Ajee’ Wilson – 1:58.76 (only sub-2 since 2023) Addy Wiley – 1:58.86 Michaela Rose – 1:58.91 Michaela Rose – 1:58.95 Meghan Hunter – 1:58.95 Makayla Paige – 1:58.97 Meghan Hunter – 1:58.99
Johnson and Hiltz will almost certainly be only running the 1500. Removing them leaves Wiley with 4 of the 8 best times in the US.
Rogers has one good time in the past two years; it is the only sub-2:00 she has had in 12 races since 2023.
Wilson is in the same boat - this is her only sub-2:00 race in 17 races going back to 2023.
Akins and Hurta-Klecker have not broken 1:59 yet this year.
Mu - nothing needs to be said that hasn't been said.
Unless someone steps up this weekend and throws down a great time at Sunset or Ed Murphey, USATFs may shape up to be Wiley versus a bunch of collegiate runners. She is without question the favorite to win. She has been holding her own with Moraa, Sekgodiso, Reekie, Hull, Duguma, Werro, Maloney, Goule-Toppin, Bourgoin - I don't think she has much to worry about from collegiates. Avoid getting tripped and take the win.
