Hoey @ 3:29.75 and ahead of Nordas and Myers is exceptional.
Hoey with a tidy PB that is .3 seconds off Kessler's all time PB. And now it is almost July and the US big 3 1500m guys have still only jogged 3:35ish GST 1500s and an Adidas road mile all outdoor season thus far while Europeans and Africans are blazing meet after meet. Hope they cue up fast. Jogging time is over. We'll see at Pre.
Very impressed with this kid this year. Not a lot of people are talking about him because of the crazy runs by Koech, Habz, and many others recently, but Myers has become a consistent top finisher. I wouldn't be surprised to see him competing for podium spots at championships in the very near future.

I think 2027 yes. This year he’d have to leapfrog a ton of guys after already making major improvements. Making the 1500m final is going to be a gauntlet for probably all but 4-5 guys.

Agree with this. With the surge of fast times from non-1500m specialists (Hoey 3:29) and 1500m B-athletes (Habz/Koech 3:27, Myers 3:29), I expect and hope that the top guys (Ingebrigtsen, Hocker, Kerr, Nuguse) will be running 3:26-caliber times in their peak (i.e: London, Silesia). Perhaps we'll see another 3:43 mile at Pre (more likely 3:44 in my opinion).
