Poor people stuck in the sun. Can probably barely see them running
Our streaming service went down. Our live reaction show has a new link:

Wanyonyi and Quincy Hall in the last 20 meters of races...legends.

Depressing especially with Keely struggling too.
Men's 800m lives up to the hype. Women's steeple next.
For a second I thought Attaoui was going to steal the win there, but Wanyonyi was just too strong
Yes, you can see Wanyonyi is a good miler; he was able to hold on despite acting as the pacemaker the last lap.
Top 5 in the 800m all African heritage

Women's steeple out in a pedestrian pace for their caliber.
As for the pacing. 7:42 won't produce a world record but I'd prefer 12:50 pace to start than 12:35. WHat I'd really like to see if 12:40 pace.
The wavelight site also says they are going for 12:35 so it could just be an error. The picture i got from the technical meeting said one was going for WR , one for European record.

2:56 last K, impressive how good a racer Cherotich has become.
good opener for Wayment
Decent race for Wayment at 9:13 but oof for Constien (9:32) and Markezich (9:36). Halladay-Lowry has a great shot at making the team for Tokyo.

Is that a burka world record? Impressive.
Back to the men's 800, Wanyonyi's last 50 is alway so good. With 100 to go, if he looks cooked, he's often not.

Actually, 4:53 is sub-7:20 3k pace! If the wavelight information is accurate, the WR is definitely not falling today...
If this is true, this is the second DL in a row with inexplicable wavelight for 5000m.
Jeez what has happened to Fahnbulleh. Huge following wind, soft field. Should've run 19.9 and won the easily. I'm sorry whatever's going on with the Holloway group...not good.
What a beautiful day and stadium. For the record, the capacity of the stadium if 15,000 and change so we are basically looking at GST Day 1 philly type crowd. Maybe tiny bit less but it looks so much better.
