We used VAERS data to examine the frequency of reporting myocarditis since the beginning of the mass vaccination campaign and compared this with historical values in VAERS and COVID-19 vaccine administration data from the Our World in Data database
We found the number of myocarditis reports in VAERS after COVID-19 vaccination in 2021 was 223 times higher than the average of all vaccines combined for the past 30 years
Heart inflammation, known as myocarditis, has been previously associated with COVID-19 vaccination. After the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen COVID-19 vaccines were given in the United States, millions of people reported side effects, including myocarditis, using a system called the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
The researchers found a strong link between COVID-19 vaccination and myocarditis, especially in kids and young adults. This can lead to hospital stays and, in some cases, death.

We’ve been over this. Myocarditis may be elevated in some small populations after mRNA vaccination. However the clinical outcomes of this myocarditis are benign compared to viral myocarditis.
“Died suddenly” and myocarditis are nothingburgers.

It clearly does NOT help your heart, but it gives the profiteers of the medical industrial complex a convenient out. You got a vaccine and later you were infected ? They can declare the cause of your problems to be the virus and not their vaccine.

By “they have me believing” you mean the study data showed that incidences of strokes and heart attacks were lower with the vaccinated population than the unvaccinated population?
Thats called study results, not propaganda.

Under 20. Missing time doesn’t mean serious. I didn’t feel 100% for about a week when I got COVID, but I was still running by day 3.
I’m not saying one is significantly worse than the other, because most studies are funded by the drug companies or the opposite side looking for a “gotcha”. My point is that normal kids didn’t need the vaccine.
I’m getting out of this thread. It’s been going on for 5 years and neither side is wavering. I’m glad we all made it.

Yeah Covid is objectively worse than the vaccine for everyone. The facts are quite clear on the.
The absolute risk of skipping the vaccine if you’re young and healthy is quite small. The relative risk is large.
I can’t fault people for not understanding or caring about the math, but the debate is settled.

I know two sub-sub(?)-elite athletes who had elevated heart rate and abnormal fatigue during moderate exertion for 2-3 months after their COVID infection. They really hated it.

This simply isn't true.
The initial trials are funded by the drug company, often with public funding support, but most of the long term surveillance sort of studies are not and it's the latter that are most relevant to the thread topic.
As an example, the study concluding that cardiac outcomes were much better in the vaccinated cohort cited in the second post to this thread was funded via a British government agency. Credible studies typically identify their funding, potential conflicts, and limitations.
