Wow! She just absolutely bloodbathed Shelbo and Schweizer by 20+ seconds. Andrews is so beast when she is healthy.
If she can stay healthy and peak for Worlds, she might be a dark horse medal threat. I love how she doesn't get intimidated by the East Africans and believes she can beat them on a good day.
No way! Lol. I don't care if pros play the game. As long as it is confined to the pro circuit. We have an east African runner about to break 14 whose blood is pure rocket fuel. So hard to feign being upset about this. Still hilarious.
Im old enough to remember a time when there were no good east african women at all,and eastern europeans dominated most races. And i agree with you.Its all laughingly obvious.

She’s clearly very fit. The problem is she hasn’t shown herself to be a good championship racer. Maybe if Monson was healthy and they pushed the pace together she could secure a WC team spot. But I suspect by the time USAs roll around, Cranny, Houlihan and Schweizer will have the wheels to beat her.

Nice to see her run well, but do remember this is Ms Inconsistent we are talking about.
USATF could be won in 14:50 and she would still somehow finish 5th.

With Chebet and Kipyegon she’d need a lot to go right because Hailu, N’getich, Battocletti arent slouches either.

I will also root for her, though.
One would hope that with this newfound strength she could actually hang onto a long grind from 1000-1600 out, or muster some of her 3:59 speed to stay in it the last lap. I don't have any skin in the game, but I would be happy to see her make an outdoor team at least once.
Josette has never really been on my radar as a potential top American runner. Can anyone who’s followed her career closely share perspective on her progression?
Has she ever displayed eye popping talent that would suggest she had the potential to be the #3 fastest woman in US history in the 5000?
