The ONLY positive from this is, if her goal was to "run in a pack," she actually did it this time. But not being able to break 4:10 means she is nowhere near 2:00 for 800m right now. I know the World Athletics tables are not perfect, but a 4:10.70 equates to a 2:02.35 for 800m, which would rank her 29th in the NCAA this year.

Well that’s if she was equivalent in both events…I wouldn’t be shocked if she’s in 1:59-2:00 shape based on the race but that’s not really cause for celebration.
I would have said 410 is just fine right now, before we saw her have zero response while being passed at the end of that 410.
It's 7 seconds off her lifetime best, which was the same year as she broke the US record for 800m, so it's not a disaster.
Effectively it's her first race of the year, and we don't know how long she's been back training. It would be no shock if she ran another in a couple of weeks, she would be 5 seconds quicker, which in in hailing distance of her best.
Not great, but not awful, and at least a place from which she can work - not 'there' but at least you can see 'there' from here.
Are you kidding me? We are not even getting the slow heats of the 5000m?
And, as I mentioned above, I am now on my third name tonight due to a moron in Tucson. Hey Barrett, you do know that numbers go on to infinity and you can't win this game, right?
I highly doubt anyone is registering your handle. It is a technical glitch with the site. Happens to me sometimes as well. Blaming tech errors on random posters just makes you sound schizophrenic.
Interesting 1500 there. Kazmierska rewarded for going with the pacer as MacKay ran a lot of extra distance in the pack before tracking her down. Shelby was really bad tactically, running almost the whole race in lane 2 and then empty the last 100. Snowden back healthy (in a Nike kit) and a solid race for Jennings the steepler.
Unsure. Wightman won the 1500 in 3:35 kinda a throwback to how all US pro races used to look before this recent era. Only Hauser went with the pace. Wouldn’t say I learned a ton from the race besides Sam Ellis is becoming a dark horse and Sam Gilman is repping Nike and looked very solid.
Also very concerning races from Holt/Garcia-Romo.
EDIT Maclean did run…15:08

I think MacLean may be considering moving up in distance. She turns 30 this year, and, despite running her lifetime best at the Trials, she still finished 7th to a bunch of younger runners. With Monson out and Cranny looking terrible at GST, it might be her best shot at making one last team. But 15:08 isn't going to cut it at 5000.

Nope, 15:08 isn’t going to get it done. Frankly, that was an embarrassing race for the professional American women. They would all get dusted at NCAAs, let alone the USATF Champs.
